Hmph. As far as Aimee could tell, this was the most luxurious burrow. And it was pretty bland, if you asked her. Back at her old warren, girls decorated burrows with flowers and other pretty things they found. Here... nothing. To Aimee, that showed that every rabbit was as bland as their burrow. "I shouldn't have left..." sighed Aimee as she sunk down on the dirt below her.
No. Aimee was not going to act like this. She left Aztear for a reason. It was boring. This was her fresh, exciting start. Everything she needed was here, she could feel it.

Herentha-rah watched the rabbit enter cautiously. She had her chief of Owsla next to her. "Whats her name again?" she whispered, so that the rabbit would not hear. "Aimee, Herentha-rah." Herentha straightened up, catching Aimee's critical gaze. "Burrows may not be what you are used to, but I'm sure you can fit your own burrow to accommodate your needs" She said, sharp but not angry. Aimee was golden coloured, with black eyes and white paws. Quite the pretty young doe.
"So, you have come to be accepted into this warren?" Herentha asked Aimee. Down to business as usual. She looked her up and down. She would not be an athletic asset to the warren, but she would certainly make good warren stock. Herentha-rah decided after a few seconds of staring at her intently, she said suddenly; "You can choose a burrow if you want. Will you be staying? We would welcome you"
Herentha-rah wondered if the rabbit was going to say yes. She had come all this way to be accepted into the warren, but she seemed very cautious about the business. "Your name is Aimee, right?" She nodded. "If you dont want in, then you can leave now, no one will stop or judge you. If you want to stay, stay now. But for heavens sake, dont stay only to discover that you don't want to be here, and leave. I need 100% loyalty in this warren for it to work." Herentha waited for Aimee's decision patiently.

"Uhm.." Aimee started, surprisingly shy, "Yeah... Yeah. I want to stay. I do." It felt nice to have committed herself to staying in one place. She had been traveling for while. "But I have a few rules of my own, if you don't mind. Don't look down on me. Don't lie to me. And, most importantly, Don't treat me without respect. Or let anyone else in this warren."
A look of anger flicked across Herentha-rah's otherwise calm face.
"I mean-" Aimee started, backing down, "I just- Just don't. Okay?" Her own golden face was a mixture of her natural boldness and an almost overwhelming fear of now being rejected.
"And yeah, I'd like my own burrow."

Herentha-rah felt slightly insulted. Was she implying that she looked down on her rabbits? That she didn't respect them? That she lied to them?
Herentha-rah managed to smother her hurt and anger, and when she spoke she was calm. "I would never do that." She said smoothly. "Please, go and pick a burrow. I do believe that a rabbit will be telling a story today and evening silflay. I think it'll be a good one. It's about General Woundwort's attack on the Watership Down. If you have any questions, please ask the Owsla, or myself. I always have time." She paused for a second. "If you want to have your own burrow, that would be fine, but, if you want to, I do believe that Pepper has no burrow mate. If you could keep her company, that would be great. She can get into a bit of trouble sometimes. Of course, you don't have to."
Herentha felt slightly worried about Pepper. she was almost eaten by a wandering fox yesterday. Wandering around with her head in the clouds. A gifted storyteller once she got going, and no doubt a valuable asset to the warren with her thinking ability, she didn't want to lose her. Thus, assigning a rabbit to look after Pepper was a good idea. she would do it herself, but it would appear as favoritism. Also, it gave the perfect opportunity to show the new rabbit she trusted her. She was careful not to order her to, though. Aimee had made it clear enough that she didn't want to be ordered around, and Herentha-rah was happy to let that sit.
